Vintage Baloch tribal necklace with a series of coin pendants and a large tribal focal in the center. This is from Balochistan, a tribal region of Afghanistan and Pakistan. There are a variety of symbols - flowers, stylized hamsa, and hearts. These symbols are often found on jewelry from this region. From end-to-end the cord is 29.5" long. The jewelry portion is 11" wide. You can tie to adjust to your size. This is strung on an old piece of fabric that has been accented with periwinkle blue beads. There is visible stitching and some dusty debris. All the components appear intact but are worn due to age and use. The dangles make a jingle wound with movement. The sound is used as a means to ward off the evil eye.
Different monitors and phone apps show colors differently. I do my best to accurately document color using both photos and written descriptions. If you have any questions, please send me a message.
